| IP Device Monitor is a
software utility used to monitor the connection state
of nominated IP addresses / IP addressable devices.
Configurable variables allow for the custom setting
of parameters such as: how often a device is to be monitored
and the number of failed attempts to contact the remote
device before the remote device is declared not contactable.
You can also alert on the basis that a device is active.
Any devices connected within a local area network or
wide area network that have their own IP address can
be monitored by IP Device Monitor. Alerts can be delivered
via email or SMS to as many recipients desired with
different conditions sent to different recipients and
as often as required – this is completely customisable
by the user or system administrator.
IP Device Monitor may be deployed in a network environment
and your ISP's host may be monitored to confirm that
your internet connection is alive. You may wish to monitor
a critical device on your local network or somewhere
in your organisation's wide area network to ensure that
the device is active. In the event that the device looses
its network connection you can be immediately alerted
via an email or SMS.
